Sensors and Actuators

Both the switch and PlayStation controllers are equipped with motion sensors when you make certain movements in the consoles respond accordingly. Sometimes (you get attacked for example in-game) the controllers vibrate as a response.
In the kettle, there’s a heat sensor, once the water is done boiling it automatically switches itself off.
In my parents’ car, you can get it to start without actually putting the key in the keyhole? it has a sensor that checks whether the key is in close proximity.
Street lights immediately come on as it starts to get dark and the brightness increases as it gets darker.
In my galaxy buds and sisters headphones, there are sensors that detect touch when you can use certain gestures to get the music to play/ stop or play another song, etc. When a galaxy bud falls out of your ear, or you take one out the music stops playing.

A mini dance video

The Process ~

I’ve kinda been going through a little art block :I but I challenged myself to make something and this was the result.
The model was made in The Sims 4 and I was able to convert it and import it into blender. I then animated it with an animation I found online of Blackpink’s as if it was your last choreography.

I made a simple dance studio, everything except the floor which is an imported image was made by me in blender (which is why it’s very basic lol, I’m still trying to figure out mirrors). I lit the scene using both HDRI lighting and various point lights, set up the camera angles, and rendered the video.
I made two clips of her dancing, the one in the studio, and the one where she is more abstract and colorful. I spliced the clips together in blender’s video editor and added music.

Once the video was done I put it back into blender as a plane(in hindsight I probably could’ve just done it as I was editing the video the first time, I shall test this theory later) and got to work adding in the doodles. All of them were painstakingly drawn by yours truly using grease pencil. It was quite tedious and it took me a hot minute. As you can see below these are all the keyframes I created for this 35-second video.
For some reason, the video quality kept deteriorating, not sure how to fix this issue just yet please accept my apologies.

In order to give it a slight glow, I separated the drawings from the video(by putting them in different collections and layers) and added a glare effect. I did this in the compositing tab.
All in all I’m not a 100% happy with this but I am happy to have made something and I learnt some more interesting techniques.
